On the surface, the Su family seems to be flourishing, but following the sudden death of Su's mother, the family falls apart in an instant. Unexpected hidden dangers emerge, and the arrangements and subsequent life issues concerning the indecisive yet selfish and stingy Su father disrupt the peaceful lives of the eldest brother living abroad and the second brother and youngest sister in their hometown. Father Su Daqiang finally breaks free from his wife's strict control and becomes even more demanding towards his children. The eldest son, Su Mingzhe, returns to the country from his job in the United States, determined to take on the family's burdens but finds himself overwhelmed. This causes a rift with his wife and children. The second son, Su Mingcheng, who has been living off his parents, shows no intention of reforming and is obsessed with vanity and wealth, leading to failures in both his career and family. The youngest daughter, Su Mingyu, who has been financially independent since she was eighteen and swore to cut ties with the family, finds herself drawn back into the Su family's struggles due to familial bonds and ends up aiding during multiple crises.
