A small southern town, Songzhuang. Zhou Mingyuan from Beijing accidentally bumped into a girl in the heavy rain. Her name is Ouyang Ling, marking their first encounter. Ouyang Ling is about to get married, but she feels anxious. In a small town like this, having a fiancé is precious, but she's still dissatisfied, as if waiting for something. So, she went to Chongwen Island. A typhoon hits, and she gets stranded there. Zhou Mingyuan, who just secured the Songzhuang Bridge project, happens to arrive at Chongwen Island to fulfill a vow. The two meet for the second time due to the typhoon and hit it off in conversation, slowly experiencing a subtle change in their relationship.
