During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ban Chao's daughter, Ban Shu (played by Jing Tian), infiltrates a women's academy as a female tutor to seek proof of her identity. Ban Shu, with her unconventional ways and innovative teaching methods, earns the affection of her students, leading the male tutor Wei Ying (played by Zhang Zhehan) and Dong Taihou's (played by Li Sheng) brother Dong Zhi (played by Dong Zhi) to fall for her, which incites jealousy from the academy's original head, Kou Lanzhi (played by Li Xinai).
