This drama is adapted from Ma Boyong's novel "Luoyang," telling the story of Gao Bingzhu, Bai Li Hongyi, and Wu Siyue, who come from different social classes but ally for a common goal during the prosperous era of Luoyang, investigating various unsolved cases and ultimately thwarting a conspiracy by the Spring and Autumn Path to protect the peace of the capital. Gao Bingzhu (played by Huang Xuan), a flawed deputy commander from Luoyang's lower class, is mistakenly embroiled in a case and becomes a suspect. While trying to prove his innocence, he encounters Bai Li Hongyi (played by Wang Yibo), who is determined to uncover the truth behind his father's poisoning. The two collaborate to investigate. Wu Siyue (played by Song Qian), a noblewoman tasked with the investigation, approaches the martial arts master and street-smart Gao Bingzhu to seek information related to the case.
