Since birth, Zheng Fengxi (played by Weng Jiaming) has had a fate filled with hardships, as both of his calves are affected by a congenital disability that cannot be cured for life. Fortunately, Zheng Fengxi has a kind grandfather, which saves him from the tragic fate of being abandoned. He becomes an apprentice to Uncle Zhao (played by Niu Ben), who performs with monkeys, and follows him to wander the world. After the unfortunate death of Uncle Zhao, Zheng Fengxi returns to his hometown and starts a "life with ducks." When a storm hits, and Zheng Fengxi miraculously survives this huge disaster, he finally returns to the long-lost family. Afterwards, Zheng Fengxi realizes his dream of going to school and moves countless people with his tenacity and resilience, including college student Wu Jizhao (played by Yu Jiahui), whose pure and kind nature allows the beleaguered Zheng Fengxi to taste love for the first time.
