The story takes place in the turbulent year of 1911, during the Xinhai Revolution. In the city of Putian, Fujian, the Liao family, renowned for their woodcarving skills at the "Liuhe Hall," enjoys the imperial favor due to their recognized exceptional craftsmanship, yet they are plagued by a decline in family members and personal troubles.
