Their relationship shifts from love to friendship, and they support each other. Kang Naixin and Cheng Ken reunite in Shishi, their feelings deepen, and they obtain a marriage certificate. Cheng Ken takes the opportunity of state-owned enterprise reform to raise funds with family and friends to start a factory under the "three nothing" conditions of no money, no venue, and no funds. Kang Naixin is injured while rescuing someone and hospitalized; her act of bravery is discovered by reporter Hao Yu, who reports it in the media. Hao Yu's husband, Zheng Haiguang, a major boss in the shoe industry, appreciates Kang Naixin's straightforward character and coincidentally, he is also Cheng Ken's mentor. Later, at critical moments in Kang Naixin's business venture, facing pressure from rivals and during the transformation and upgrading of her company, Zheng Haiguang helps her generously.
