Mizirou Rantian (played by Masami Nagasawa) works as an assistant in a beauty salon, often facing criticism from her colleagues. When she returns home, she must deal with her alcoholic mother who brings men home. For her, life is a mess. So when her boyfriend, Sou Yamaguchi (played by Ryo Nishikido), asks to live together, she agrees with hopes for the future. During her shopping for household items for their new home, she is unaware of the gaze of Ruka Akimoto (played by Juri Ueno) behind her. In an attempt to catch up with Mizirou, Ruka accidentally bumps into Takeshi Mizushima (played by Eita), who has been noticing her in the home goods store. Ruka and Mizirou were high school classmates, and Ruka holds an unspoken secret in her heart. After catching up with Mizirou, the two enjoy a joyful reunion. Now Ruka lives in a share house with her friend Eri, and when she hears Mizirou happily talk about moving in with her boyfriend, a complex emotion crosses Ruka’s eyes. However, happiness does not come to Mizirou. Sou, due to his jealousy and sensitivity, checks Mizirou's phone messages and mistakenly thinks that Ruka is a man, leading him to physically assault Mizirou. Instinctively, Mizirou calls Ruka after escaping. Ruka takes her back to the share house, only to find that Takeshi is also about to join the share house. Four young people gather under one roof, hopeful for the future yet carrying their own issues, and they are set to act out a life drama that none of them can predict.
