Ji Gong encounters a pair of sisters, the elder sister Qiu Manfeng and the younger sister Qiu Ningyu, who both fall in love with the same man, Zhao Jianwen, leading to unresolved feelings between them. Ji Gong uses his wisdom to ultimately resolve their issues and help them understand the value of sisterly love. Additionally, Ji Gong meets a washed-up chef, Tu Dou, who neglected his family while obsessively studying culinary arts years ago, resulting in his daughter's tragic death in a fire, where he couldn't see her one last time. Filled with remorse, Tu Dou has since lived a self-destructive life. Ji Gong brings Qiu Ningyu to help engage with the washed-up chef and, guided by Ji Gong, Tu Dou finally picks up his chef's knife again and emerges from life's adversities. In the end, although Ji Gong finds news of Qiu Ningyu's mother, she has already passed away. Qiu Ningyu, following Ji Gong, witnesses the various aspects of life; despite the regret of this bad news, she learns to accept it calmly. Through countless good deeds, Ji Gong fulfills his mission and returns to the heavenly realm.
