A coming-of-age girl's complicated emotional equation, passionately interpreting an edge-of-love relationship. Tian Feng, an editor of a women's magazine, is a single mother who has relied on her daughter Beile for many years but finds her almost sixteen-year-old daughter somewhat mysterious and distant. One day, Tian Feng discovers a love letter written by a boy named Mi Le to her daughter in a misaligned drawer. When Beile scolds her mother for peeking, a strong conflict breaks out between them. Mi Le gets into a brawl with another male classmate over Beile, and both Mi Le's father, Old Mi, and Beile's mother are called to the school. The parents hold opposing views and leave a very bad impression on each other, while Old Mi has a good impression of Beile. Looking at Mi Le’s father, Beile suddenly thinks of her own father. The long-lost maternal love is actually what Mi Le yearns for. The two kids come up with an idea to set their parents up... Tian Feng unexpectedly meets wandering painter Cheng Kun, and they instantly fall in love. Beile finds Cheng Kun's carefree lifestyle extremely repulsive and contemptible. Depressed and frustrated, Cheng Kun indulges in self-destruction and excessive drinking, leading the despairing Tian Feng to heartbreakingly leave him. Meanwhile, Old Mi has already recognized Tian Feng's kindness and generosity, and Tian Feng is moved by Old Mi's positive attitude towards life and sincerity. However, Tian Feng has just ended a painful emotional experience and has witnessed the “aftereffects” of Old Mi's previous failed marriage, making her hesitate...
