The Bao family has adopted their fellow townsman Pan Zhong's son, Pan Langqing (played by Guo Jinan), for many years. Bao family's eldest son, Bao Wenlong (played by Zheng Yijian), has a brotherly bond with him. The head of the Zhongtian Group, Huang Tian (played by Zheng Shaoqiu), is targeted by an internal plot and is investigated by the Commercial Crime Investigation Department's officer Wenlong, leading them to become close friends despite their age difference.
