In a critical moment for the nation's survival, passionate young man Xia Anguo resolves to devote himself to the war of resistance. To avoid burdening his beloved, he resolutely decides to break off his engagement with childhood sweetheart Chen Jing. Xia Anguo is unaware that Chen Jing is actively participating in the anti-Japanese salvation movement, secretly working for the cause of resistance.
