Liang Guohui (Wang Zhiwen) is a psychiatrist, and his wife Zheng Jie (Jiang Shan) is the head of the intensive care unit. Zheng Jie has always been dissatisfied with her husband's job, and their relationship has grown increasingly dull over time. The sudden onset of cancer throws Liang Guohui into turmoil as he copes with immense pressure and chooses to conceal his condition from his wife.
