In the late Qing Dynasty, Jinling was one of China's key trading hubs. Jinmaoxiang warehouse has endured nine generations, with its owner, Old Master Che, having lost his wife and concubines early on, as if under a curse, leaving him with only two daughters. The elder daughter, Che Yugu, reluctantly accepted her marriage to Qu Yunting at her father's command. Their intertwined fate, however, sparked grievances and feelings spanning two generations. Within the great tides of the era, under the manipulation of destiny, the rise and fall of Jinmaoxiang warehouse reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of Chinese merchants, embodying the belief that integrity is essential for enduring success. More importantly, merchants also possess a sense of patriotism, capable of transformation, coupled with a strong national consciousness and the highest realm of loyalty and trust. This creates a patriotic mission for Chinese merchants, willing to sacrifice for their country and people, putting aside personal feelings and family interests for the greater national good.
