This is a 26-episode folk legend drama starring host Zhang Yan and famous actor Tang Guoqiang. The story takes place in the 1930s in Fuzhou and revolves around the power struggle between two wealthy families, the Guans and the Lins, who operate hot springs. Guan Fugu, the boss of the Guan family (played by Han Zhenhua), hires Lin Tangtou (played by Liu Xiaofeng), the illegitimate son of the Lin family from Yilan, Taiwan, to use gambling to win over the famous hot spring "Tianlai Spring," owned by Lin Tianquan (played by Tang Guoqiang). Guan Fugu also hires a Japanese woman, Gaozi (played by Huo Siyan), to kill Lin Tianquan and his wife, and sets fire to the Lin family’s hot spring and property.
