One day at the Yunlai Inn in a county in Jiangnan, four stunning beauties appeared one after another, each with their unique charm, causing the inn's owner, Uncle Fu, who has seen countless people, to marvel at the wonders of nature. The first is Gu Qingqing, the daughter of the wealthiest family in the capital, who was already promised to someone. As her wedding day approached, she sneaked out of her home, but on her wedding bed, the bride ran away. The second is Hu Jiao, a local beauty from a humble family. She has known Sanlang since childhood, and they share mutual affection, but she simply cannot tolerate Sanlang's poverty. Her greatest wish is to marry a wealthy man, so she betrayed Sanlang in pursuit of her ideal marriage, holding onto hope in the world. The third is Yan Fengfang, a regular guest at the inn. She is a faded courtesan suffering from tuberculosis, living off her savings. She spends her days fantasizing about a young nobleman she met years ago, believing that one day he will honor their vow and come to marry her in a grand red wedding sedan. The fourth is Xiang Ping, the wife of the honest county magistrate, who many lament would be with a clumsy husband. In truth, she has a heartbreaking past. She was once abandoned by the son of the Iron General from the capital, Tie Weiyu, and gave birth to his child. The appearance of these four beautiful women makes the ordinary Yunlai Inn seem extraordinary. However, little do they know that the noodle seller outside the inn is Zhuo Yifei, known as "the first swordsman in the capital." Years ago, he was ambushed during a duel with Tie General's adopted son, Tie Zhongyue, and suffered a crushing defeat under Zhongyue's "Wind and Thunder Sword," forcing him to withdraw from the martial world and never use a sword again. Qingqing, hiding from her wedding, is unexpectedly spotted by wet nurse Fei Daniu, and the two negotiate. They agree that after seven days, Qingqing's journey in Jiangnan will end, and she will return to marry. However, Fei Daniu is still worried and decides to hire a bodyguard. This bodyguard is the unfortunate Di Sanlang, who struggles to make ends meet. During these seven days, he takes on the responsibility of protecting and watching over Qingqing. Despite Qingqing's mischievous teasing, Sanlang remains steadfast. He dislikes women who betray marriage because "betraying marriage" is a source of pain for him. One day, Tie Weiyu, the legitimate son of the Iron General, is murdered at the Yunlai Inn, and at that time, it was Hu Jiao who was sharing a room with him, making her the prime suspect. Hearing the news, Tie General rushes to take revenge with his confidante Yun Caidie and adopted son Tie Zhongyue. Hu Jiao is in grave danger. The case is complex and the clues puzzling. County magistrate Gu Laoshi is thrown into a panic, and Sanlang, Qingqing, and others get unintentionally caught up in the murder case. It turns out that the mastermind behind everything is Tie Zhongyue, who was an orphan raised by the Iron General. Unfortunately, the General soon had a biological son, Weiyu, and no matter how talented and diligent Zhongyue was, he couldn't win their father's affection like Weiyu, who was a hedonist. Seven years ago, Weiyu had asked Zhongyue to deal with Xiang Ping and her child, leading Zhongyue to have someone impersonate bandits and assassinate them. Then, he seduced Yun Caidie, instructing her to kill Weiyu! Caidie eventually found an opportunity to strike at the Yunlai Inn. Zhongyue's aim was to ensure the Tie family had no heirs, allowing him to rightfully inherit the family estate. Sanlang, Qingqing, and others work hard to uncover the fog of confusion and finally discover that the true culprit is Tie Zhongyue. Unexpectedly, Zhongyue is also Qingqing's runaway fiancé. The only condition Qingqing had accepted for their marriage was that it must take place in this county, where she planned to expose Zhongyue’s true nature in front of everyone during the wedding ceremony. With drums and gongs blaring, as the wedding procession arrives, Qingqing sees a madwoman rush out from the crowd with a blade aimed at her. The groom, Tie Zhongyue, kicks the madwoman to the ground, and everyone realizes the madwoman is Yun Caidie. Caidie openly accuses Zhongyue of being heartless and confesses all his crimes. Tie General is left dumbfounded, and everyone in the hall is outraged. In a fit of shame and anger, Zhongyue draws his sword and kills Caidie, who smiles and says, "I'll wait for you on the road to the Yellow Springs!" before passing away. Zhongyue, discarding his weapon, laughs maniacally and declares that no one can rival him with his Wind and Thunder Sword. At dawn, startled birds fly from the forest as Zhuo Yifei and Tie Zhongyue engage in a fierce battle, fighting until the sky darkens and the earth shakes. The wicked Tie Zhongyue ultimately falls to Zhuo Yifei's sword. With Zhongyue's defeat, Zhuo Yifei is welcomed back into the fold by the Iron General, regaining the honor and position he had lost. In the end, the "Blessing of Flower Guardians" for Sanlang and Qingqing also leads to their lifelong bond.
