What was Tibet like in the 1930s and 1940s? This drama, told from the perspective of Tibetans by Tibetans, strives to authentically portray the real customs and daily life of Tibet at that time. Through the character of Tashi Donzhu, it tells the legendary life of his efforts to overthrow the Tibetan serf system. After the 13th Dalai Lama passed away, a power struggle erupted among the Tibetan warlords, particularly between Dele Garen and Rinchen Garen. The cunning and deceitful Rinchen Garen set traps that severely impacted Dele's side. The ailing Dele is most worried about the safety of his son, who is returning to Lhasa from India.
