In the late 1970s, Yang Shihong, who grew up in a rural area, fell in love with Niu Wang from the village. Later, their families fell out over the bride price, and Niu Wang moved to a neighboring village. To spite him, Yang Shihong married Wang Chang'an. Initially, Shihong found Wang Chang'an weak, but after some time, she matured and was deeply moved by his elegance and dream of leaving the mountains.
