In the two nations of Luoyang and Yang, good and evil stand opposed, each in their own right. King Yang Chukui wages war, and the fires of battle rage. The loyal and righteous King Luoyang resists Chukui but fails, retreating to the north to gather troops and build strength in anticipation of a day to strike back against the enemy. The wise and kind-hearted Zhaixing meets a wild boy at Wolf Hunting Mountain, naming him Wolfzi. Growing up in the woods, Wolfzi is innocent and pure-hearted, having never been educated, and he shares a close bond with Zhaixing. Unexpectedly, Wolfzi, unaware of the world’s complexities, is misunderstood as the murderer of a high-ranking official while trying to save a young wolf, and he suffers a tragic chase.
