Hasegawa Arata (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki) and his sister Amane (voiced by Ibuki Kido) have always lived under the shadow of domestic violence. Their father's cruelty, Oushima Shirou (voiced by Kouji Yusa), has long surpassed what an ordinary person can bear. Since childhood, the siblings have known to stay as far away as possible from a man who resorts to violence against his wife and children. After their parents' divorce and mother leaving home, it has come down to just Arata and Amane relying on each other. In Arata's eyes, his sister is his entire world, and he is willing to do anything for her. Unfortunately, Amane accidentally contracts a mysterious virus known as "pupa," gradually transforming into a bloodthirsty monster with a taste for human flesh.
