A renowned female writer is found dead in her home, having died in the "confessional death" method described in her own book. The case is handled by criminal investigation team leader Zhao Xuzhen (played by Zhang Shuhau), and his non-biological brother, cyber police officer Li Zhongwei (played by He Haocen), also joins the special investigation team.
