The first self-produced series by Mirror Literature, adapted from the director's novel of the same name "The Defender of Eight-Foot Gate." Tang Fu-Rui was originally a practicing lawyer. A foreign migrant worker's murder case serves as the backdrop, as public defender Tong Bao-Ju (played by Li Ming-Shun) represents the accused facing the death penalty.
