Junko Sakuraba (played by Satomi Ishihara) works diligently as an instructor at an English teaching institution, saving up to fulfill her dream of living in New York. During a memorial service, her leg goes numb, and she accidentally scatters ashes on Monk Hoshikawa (played by Tomohisa Yamashita), which unexpectedly makes Hoshikawa fall in love with Junko at first sight. Following this incident, Hoshikawa launches a series of pursuits towards Junko that can be described more as fervent rather than almost "harassment." 　　Seigo Kiyomiya (played by Kei Tanaka) is Junko's former teacher and now her boss, with whom she shares a vague, unexpressed affection. Satoshi Mishima (played by Yuki Furukawa) was once Junko's classmate but is now her student, harboring unspoken affection for her.
