The story takes place at Kitauji High School, where Kumiko Oumae (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa) has just stepped onto campus, filled with longing for the unknown high school life. Hazuki Katou (voiced by Ayaka Asai) is Kumiko's classmate, and after much persuasion from Hazuki, the pliable Kumiko reluctantly joins the school's concert band. Once, the concert band had a glorious history, but after changing advisors, it gradually fell into decline. Now, the new music teacher, Taki Shou (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), has great confidence in revitalizing the concert band and aiming for the national competition. Alongside her optimistic and cheerful senpai Mizore Yoroizuka (voiced by Moe Toyota), rational and calm senpai Reina Kousaka (voiced by Chika Anzai), and the big sister leader Asuka Tanaka (voiced by Minako Kotobuki), Kumiko's happy high school life begins.
