The story is told from the protagonist's first-person perspective. "I" (voiced by Shintaro Asanuma) am a third-year student at Kyoto University, originally looking forward to a colorful and vibrant college life, hoping to find a beautiful girlfriend with flowing black hair. However, things didn't go as planned; the protagonist experiences a failed romance and has only a few friends. The protagonist's only friend, Ozu (voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino), looks like a monster and enjoys teasing couples. The protagonist often scorns Ozu but can't distance himself from him. Later, the protagonist meets his junior, Akashi (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto), a cold-hearted girl with black hair. It is precisely because of his initial choice of joining the tennis club that his two years at university have been so unsuccessful. Thus, "I" imagine how different my college life would be if I had chosen another club when I enrolled. This work explores the protagonist re-selecting clubs as a freshman from a parallel universe perspective, leading to various youth stories.
