In 2075, the depletion of natural resources has destroyed Earth, and an elite team is sent to an abandoned research base on the Moon to carry out a special mission. On Christmas Eve, astrobiologist Song Ji-an (played by Bae Doona) has just arrived on the Moon. She is a member of this elite team, dispatched to the Moon with a mission to save Earth from the depletion of natural resources.
