The drama is adapted from the Japanese television series "Summer Without Love." This is also Song Hye-kyo's second collaboration with director Kim Kyu-tae and writer Yoo Hee-jin. Gambler Oh Soo (played by Jo In-sung) lives in a glamorous world filled with money and desire, spending his nights playing poker, drinking, and with women. After an accident leaves him with debts of billions of Korean won, he sets his sights on wealthy heiress Oh Young (played by Song Hye-kyo). Oh Young is the sole heir of a large corporation, smart and beautiful, seemingly having it all, but she is lonely and neglected inside. Unfortunately, she suffers from "tunnel vision syndrome," which allows her to see only the center of her visual field. For money, Oh Soo, along with his close friend Jin-seong (played by Kim Bum), pretends to be Oh Young's long-lost brother who hasn't been seen in over ten years, and they arrive at Oh Young's home. The cynical Oh Soo discovers that Oh Young is just as lonely and sad as he is, and he gradually develops feelings for her. Oh Young, too, is moved by this brother's seemingly warm words and actions, as well as his carefree charm, and slowly begins to open her heart to him. What will happen when truth collides with lies, and the beautiful world they have built is shattered?
