Zhen Shanmei (played by Chae Rim) is a kind girl who lost her mother at a young age and grew up under her father’s careful protection. Shanmei has always had feelings for her neighbor's son, Youzhen (played by Han Jae-seok). One day, a worker at her father's construction company dies in an accident on the site, and the worker's daughter, Yingmei (played by Kim So-yeon), is taken home. Yingmei, who has always lacked warmth from a family, is very jealous of Shanmei receiving affection from many people, so she tries every means to compete for attention and even wants to take away Shanmei's beloved Youzhen.
