This drama is a psychological thriller that tells the story of three individuals connected to a tragic murder case that occurred 15 years ago. These include a middle-aged investigator who is an outsider within the police force, a once-prominent prosecutor turned corrupt lawyer, and a young police officer who witnessed his father, also a police officer, kill his mother. Their lives have crumbled due to this incident, and in a unique setting for personal atonement, they unveil the true nature of a secret organization within the police, seeking reasons for their survival in a coming-of-age story. Jin Hyun-joo plays Han Tae-joo, a legendary secular lawyer. Initially on a fast track as a prosecutor, she resigns after being severely injured during a robbery at home and spends time recovering abroad. After returning to Korea, she establishes a law firm specifically serving wealthy criminals, intentionally defending them to instigate conflicts and incite discord among relevant parties. Seo Kang-joon portrays the suspicious police officer Kim Young-joon. He possesses excellent observational skills for insight into criminals, is bold and agile, and is also astute. However, due to his pervasive "distrust," he joins forces with the inspection team leader and the secular lawyer to form an illegal investigation group.
