This drama tells the story of rookie judges who dream of standing up against power and protecting the weak through the courtroom, principled elite judges, and realistic judges, in a court drama close to reality featuring a judicial committee composed of these three distinctly different judges. Yoon Ah-ra plays the role of the passionate rookie judge Park Kyo-rin, who is a judge from the first class of the Korean National University of Arts. She is a justice-seeking figure who wants to help vulnerable individuals such as the elderly, women, the disabled, and the poor deal with grievances. Kim Myung-soo plays the role of the principled elite judge Lim Ba-reun, a self-reliant court individualist who entered a prestigious university law department with high scores. Although he is among the elite, he has no interest in promotion and is indifferent to everything, only acting according to principles, believing that judging based on personal sympathy and goodwill is an abuse of power. Sung Dong-il plays the role of realist judge Han Se-gye, and Yoo Deok-hwan plays the role of Jung Bo-wang, a judge at the Seoul Central Court and a top informant who is also Lim Ba-reun's good friend.
