Based on the manga of the same name, it highlights the joys and sorrows women experience in their battles for self-awareness and social acceptance through makeup. Each episode features different women and the unique stories that makeup brings out in them. Kanazaki Kei stars as the main character Kumagai Miki, who works as a beauty consultant at a cosmetics store. Kanazaki herself is a popular beauty expert, appearing monthly in beauty magazines such as "MAQUIA," "Biyou," and "VoCE," while also hosting events and lectures, and developing and supervising cosmetics brands. After winning the national high school girl uniform COLLECTION championship in 1993, she briefly pursued acting, but retired from the entertainment industry after marrying soccer player Endo Akihiro in 2000.
