In a quiet little village, a strange illness is slowly consuming the lives of the villagers. As the only young man in the village who can draw the Hero's Sword, Yihiko (played by Takayuki Yamada) embarks on a journey to an unknown place to find the elixir, which has become his unshakable responsibility. The elixir is quickly found by Yihiko, but the story does not end there. The Buddha (played by Jiro Sato) appears and assigns Yihiko a daunting task - to defeat the Demon King in his stronghold. A female assassin, Azuki (played by Haruka Kinami), a wizard, Mirebu (played by Takuya Muro), and a swordsman, Danjo (played by Asanobu Takemura), join the team to defeat the Demon King. Along the way, the heroes bravely slash through hardships and fight enemies, following the Buddha's guidance to collect powerful items in preparation for the final battle. Now that the Demon King is within reach, can these four insignificant humans truly win against such immense power?
