Haruka Yukimoto (played by Kida Reina) was born in a small fishing village, the daughter of a fisherman. Her father worked hard at sea to support the family, while her mother stayed home devotedly taking care of young Haruka. One day, a terrible earthquake struck the fishing village, and in this tremendous disaster, Haruka lost many friends and relatives. Her mother developed post-disaster trauma, and the once cheerful woman was now constantly glooming. This distressing time lasted for a year, until one day, her father returned on his fishing boat. From a distance, Haruka saw the twinkling lights on the boat and felt her spirit healed by the warmth of light. Haruka decided to go to Tokyo for further studies and eventually found a job at a store specializing in lighting equipment. Her past experiences led her to firmly believe that scientific and excellent lighting design could heal wounded hearts.
