Stories about religion—an unemployed Catholic sings "Every sperm is sacred" while sending a room full of fifty children to undergo medical experiments because he can no longer afford them, while the Protestant couple next door revels in schadenfreude, reflecting on their own experience of "only having sex twice and having two children"; stories about sex—a professor explains "what sex is" to his students in class, but they just can't grasp it, and in desperation, he brings in his wife to demonstrate; stories about death—a grim reaper arrives at a farmhouse claiming to take everyone away, but a large number of American friends are gathered there, completely unconcerned and even warmly inviting him for drinks and conversation, pushing the grim reaper to his limits...
