On a sunny day, a beautiful girl with an eye patch on her left eye is approached by someone. The girl coldly tells a terrifying legend about doppelgängers, and soon a girl with a matching eye patch, who looks exactly like her, walks over, scaring the boy away. The newcomer is Mitsuki Mei (voiced by Natsumi Takamori), while the girl playing the prank is her long-separated twin sister Misa (voiced by Hiromi Igarashi). The two sisters, with different personalities, spend time together, sharing their truest feelings about their origins and blood ties. What worries Mitsuki is that her left eye vaguely sees ominous signs about something that will soon happen to Misa. The next day, on their way to the amusement park, she is determined to protect Misa no matter what. A joyful yet brief day for the sisters... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by Yukito Ayatsuji.
