Living in her own world, José swims through the ocean of her interests in painting and books. Since childhood, she has been sitting in a wheelchair, and one day, while almost falling down a dangerous slope, she receives help from a university student, Kō. Specializing in marine biology, Kō works day and night in part-time jobs to achieve his dream of seeing the dreamlike fish that live only in Mexico. José's grandmother, who relies on her, introduces Kō to a part-time job where he must listen to José's requests and find ways to fulfill them. However, stubborn and not good at communicating with others, José is very harsh towards Kō, who does not mind that she is disabled and responds to her directly. Gradually, the distance between them shortens as they begin to understand each other. Throughout their interactions, José becomes determined to see the outside world she has always dreamed of with Kō... The film is adapted from Seiko Tanabe's novel "Jose and the Tiger and the Fish."
