Natsuki Mukai (voiced by Rina Kawai) is a surfing enthusiast with a strong passion and genuine love for the ocean. She feels truly alive only at the crest of the waves, but despite her confident demeanor on the sea, she is actually a thoughtful girl who feels deeply confused about her future. One day, while living her life, Natsuki meets a firefighter named Kō (voiced by Ryota Katayose). Kō, brave and upright, quickly captures Natsuki's attention, and they hit it off, beginning a happy romance. However, their bliss is short-lived as a maritime disaster takes Kō's life, leaving Natsuki unable to accept that it was the sea, which she loves, that took her beloved. One day, after being depressed for a long time, Natsuki begins to hum the song they often sang together, and to her surprise, Kō appears before her.
