In ancient legends, a princess with pure white wings is confined in a room, yearning for the outside world. One day, a mysterious boy appears before the princess, becoming her only friend. Through the boy's words, the princess learns about the happenings in the vast world. However, when the princess and the boy fall in love, the curse from the past comes true. Kanou Kanon (voiced by Rinko Kawakami) has been weak and sickly since childhood, preventing her from attending school and forcing her to stay at home all day. However, Kanon does not become melancholic because she believes that one day she will meet the legendary boy. Kunisaki Wataru (voiced by Daisuke Ono) is a traveling puppeteer who has been searching for the "girl in the sky" that his mother told him about. When Wataru meets Kanon, he realizes that perhaps Kanon is the person he has been seeking.
