Humans attempted to modify the genetic factors of plants to control them, but the plan failed, and the trees gradually developed consciousness, leading to uncontrolled growth and devastating destruction of the Earth. Over time, after being attacked by the trees, the remaining humans chose to coexist peacefully with the forest for survival.
