Humans attempted to modify the genetic factors of plants to control them, but the plan failed, and the trees gradually developed consciousness, leading to uncontrolled growth and devastating destruction of the Earth. Over time, after being attacked by the trees, the remaining humans chose to coexist peacefully with the forest for survival. Until one day, Aghido (voiced by Ryo Katsuragi) and his friend Kain (voiced by Yuu Binguchi) sneak into the Forbidden Spring to collect water, where Aghido discovers a glowing object and a sleeping girl named Tula (voiced by Aoi Miyazaki) within it. Aghido awakens the sleeping Tula and learns during their conversation that she is a human from three hundred years ago. The people of the "Neutral City" warmly welcome Tula, but the forest attacks her like a monster. At that moment, a man named Shunaku (voiced by Kenichi Endo), who claims to be from the past, arrives from the city of "Leikna," which is hostile to the forest, declaring that Tula is the key to restoring the world. What exactly is going on? What fate awaits them...
