Synopsis After the "September 18" Incident, the northeastern military unit led by soldier Shuanglong faced brutal attacks from the Japanese army. After narrowly escaping, he was relentlessly pursued by the Japanese. In a desperate situation, he had to resort to joining bandits, only to be besieged by the puppet army of his former compatriot, Teng Dianyun, a commander in the Northeast army. In this complex struggle, Shuanglong led the bandits to the path of progressive anti-Japanese resistance through various methods, and under the leadership of the Communist Party, he transformed the bandits into an anti-Japanese mountain unit, later incorporated into the 10th Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, where Shuanglong served as the commander. Under Shuanglong's leadership, the anti-Japanese unit achieved victories against the Japanese invaders in extremely challenging conditions, significantly weakening their arrogance and becoming a major thorn in their side. The 10th Army of the Anti-Japanese Alliance annihilated and destroyed the precursor of the Japanese Kwantung Army's "731" bacterial unit—Zhongmacheng. In 1935, Shuanglong joined the Communist Party of China. Consequently, the Japanese army's Otoda unit mobilized heavy troops to encircle and intercept Shuanglong's 10th Army. Due to infiltration by a female Japanese spy, Shuanglong's base was discovered by the Japanese, leading to the 10th Army being trapped in a heavy encirclement. Facing enemies that outnumbered them by dozens of times, the soldiers of the 10th Army fought valiantly and desperately. Commander Shuanglong fought against the Japanese until the very last moment of his life, bleeding to the last drop.
