Cheng Mi Liu (played by Sammo Hung) avenges the brutal death of his uncle at the hands of the Manchus. Under the guidance of Monk San De (played by Chen Xing), Cheng Mi Liu enters Shaolin Temple to learn martial arts and is highly regarded by his master Jing Chen (played by Huang Feng). Eager for revenge, Cheng Mi Liu knows he cannot cross the Wooden Man Alley, so he decides to sneak out of the Shaolin Temple. His actions are discovered, and he faces disciplinary punishment, but fortunately, his senior brother Xie Ya Fu (played by Tian Jun) is the one punishing him, and soon, Cheng Mi Liu receives permission to leave the mountain. 牛精良 (played by Lu Haipeng) appears fierce but is kind-hearted; he works in a dyeing factory. The prodigal son Bai An Fu (played by Feng Ke An), who has the backing of his Manchu brother, rampages through the city, committing crimes and violating 牛精良's beautiful sister, leading her to commit suicide in grief. Enraged and heartbroken, 牛精良 vows to avenge his sister.
