Written by Rob Williams, screenwriter of "The Victim" and "Killing Eve," the story is inspired by his experiences as a social worker in several prisons. The series will present the terrifying and darkly humorous reality of life for prison guards in a British male prison in the 21st century. The focus of the story is Leigh, a struggling female prison guard who has dedicated her adult life to this prison and its troubled inmates. Despite her area being overcrowded and mired in the disasters caused by crumbling bureaucracy and shortsightedness, Leigh does far more for these prisoners than her duties require. However, Leigh also harbors her own secrets and a past, and once discovered, the consequences may go far beyond losing her job. The new young prison guard Rose has her own agenda; will her loose tongue lead to Leigh's downfall or become an unexpected savior?
