This film is based on the director's own childhood memories; both of his parents are doctors. A female doctor treats villagers and monks at a rural hospital. She is in love with the owner of an orchid farm, while another doctor working at an urban hospital has fallen for her, and between them, an unusual emotional communication occurs. The director continues to portray the delicate emotions of the characters through long takes, and humorous minor characters occasionally appear in the film, such as a dentist who moonlights as a singer, an old monk who also dispenses medicine to others, and a young monk who wants to become a record DJ.
