This drama is adapted from Sheri Fink's nonfiction book of the same name, telling the story of exhausted healthcare workers at a New Orleans hospital forced to make heartbreaking decisions after a storm. After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, the Memorial Medical Center faced flooding, power outages, and rising temperatures, compelling the medical staff to make choices that would haunt them for years. Ultimately, the hospital had 40 fatalities, with some patients deemed unlikely to survive, leading to arrangements for euthanasia.
