This drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Kate Atkinson, which won the Costa Prize in 2013. The story follows Ursula Todd, the daughter of Sylvie and Hugh, who is born on a night in 1910 but dies before taking her first breath. On that very same night, she is reborn and survives. Ursula discovers that she lives and dies repeatedly in different circumstances, each time being reborn into the world to start a new life. In every new life, Ursula strives to find the right direction forward. She experiences a critical period in history, going through two world wars, an encounter with Hitler, and numerous significant life events. But what is the reason behind Ursula's desperate need to survive? Can a perfect life be achieved? Can the course of history be altered? Can Ursula save the world?
