Amazon has ordered an 8-episode sci-fi series "Tales From The Loop," based on the sci-fi artwork by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag. The screenplay is written by Nathaniel Halpern (The Walking Dead), and directed by Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go, Vinyl). The series is co-produced by Matt Reeves' production company 6th & Idaho, Sweden's Indio, and Fox 21. The artwork explores the lives of a group of people living above "The Loop," a machine designed to explore and unravel the mysteries of the universe, making possible what was once only found in science fiction. Set in this fantastical, mysterious small town, it tells poignant human stories and evokes raw universal emotional experiences while utilizing genre storytelling techniques.
