This drama is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by Mao Ni. Continuing from the previous season, Fan Xian (played by Zhang Ruoyun) leads a delegation on the way back, where the Second Prince threatens Fan Xian with the safety of Fei Jie, Fan Sizhe, and the last heir of the Teng family, forcing him to bow down and submit.
