In the tranquil northeastern small town of Lanhe, a bizarre murder case creates an uproar. A murder occurs at the famous local enterprise, Hongqiao Group, where three people are killed overnight. The suspect Yang Si (played by Hu Jun) is captured while fleeing, but during the interrogation, Chief Detective Guan Yu (played by Chen Jianbin) discovers many discrepancies, and Wang Ping (played by Deng Jiajia), the original wife of Yan Hongqiao, seems to have countless connections to the case.
