In the 1970s, three children were born in the same hospital in the north. Twenty years later, having never met before, they became the best of friends. That year, Hai Bo and Fang Shan had just graduated from university, while Roger was unwilling to remain a small worker. Amid the nationwide boom in steel trading, the three, filled with youthful passion, set off to an unfamiliar city to trade steel, dreaming of making their fortune. However, being inexperienced, they not only failed to get rich but were also exploited by scammers, getting involved in a steel fraud case. The friendship among the three underwent numerous trials and tests, ultimately becoming a bond of life and death. This adventure was not without its rewards; they met the Su sisters, Su Li and Su Wen, who were also away from home. Upon returning to their city, Fang Shan and Roger pursued the Su sisters, but Su Li secretly liked Hai Bo. Although she never expressed it, Fang Shan gradually noticed the growing distance in their friendship. Hai Bo, under his mother's command, married the neighbor girl while Su Li, deeply drunk, finally started a relationship with Fang Shan. After marrying, Hai Bo found himself unhappy due to the lack of emotional foundation, but being introverted, he intended to continue living this way. Unexpectedly, his wife initiated divorce proceedings. Devastated, Hai Bo resigned from his job and, together with Fang Shan and Roger, opened an advertising company. The three brothers worked closely together, and their advertising business thrived. However, once they became successful, they began to expand carelessly, leading to massive losses in the stock market. Just as the three planned a comeback, Fang Shan accidentally killed someone in a car accident. As he was about to marry Su Li, Hai Bo took the blame and went to prison in Fang Shan's place! While Hai Bo was imprisoned, Fang Shan felt extremely anxious and sought to make amends. To assist Hai Bo's brother, Hai Tao, in business, he invested all his assets, even dragging Roger in as collateral. Unfortunately, Hai Tao was scammed, and Fang Shan lost everything, leading to Roger's property being seized. When Roger's property was confiscated, pregnant Su Wen had a miscarriage, and overnight, Roger lost everything. Fueled by rage towards Fang Shan for causing all this, he beat Fang Shan and then left to develop elsewhere. Thus, the once-close friends parted ways. After enduring hardships, Roger became cold-hearted and quickly rose in the business world. After becoming wealthy, he returned home and held a grand banquet to welcome Hai Bo upon his release from prison. Meanwhile, Fang Shan was destitute and self-exiled, much to Roger's disdain. After his release, Hai Bo began anew, treating Fang Shan and Roger—who were in completely different circumstances and statuses—with the same calm demeanor. With the help of Hai Bo and Su Li, Fang Shan began to recover, writing their story into a novel and becoming a famous writer. Hai Bo, with his keen insight, successfully raised funds, becoming a new online tycoon and finding love again. At this time, however, Roger's excessive pride led to self-destruction: his funding chain broke, and he went bankrupt overnight. Unable to accept his bankruptcy, he used his last money to arrange Hai Bo's wedding before deciding to end his own life. Just as he sought to end it all, Hai Bo and Fang Shan arrived in time to save Roger. The three brothers embraced tightly, and a touching friendship began anew...
