The performance class of the Oriental Film University is about to graduate in the last few months, during which the students and teachers will complete a graduation play rehearsal and performance together. This will be a significant review of four years of teaching and practice! The lead teacher, An Ran, has worked hard and racked his brains to choose a script that allows as many children as possible to have roles. How can he fairly and effectively assign main and supporting roles so that every student has something to do?... This heavy cast assignment list has suddenly become a mysterious and difficult-to-finalize "An Ran list"... During a rehearsal class, An Ran announced the draft of the "list," and the students exploded with excitement! Wu Si and Lin Haiping, who had never performed before, were assigned important roles, while Ai Tong, who had only shot a few ads, was designated as the female lead. Everyone was discussing and getting anxious. Xiao Gang, feeling unfair, caused a commotion in the department office. As the situation escalated, the deputy director, Yan Ge, found An Ran for a discussion, but under pressure, An Ran silently insisted on his choices. Just then, a famous director came to the film university unexpectedly to select actors for his new film, catching everyone off guard. The director immediately set his sights on Wu Si! Wu Si found himself in great conflict and confusion... The roles for the major play "Family Affairs" were finally decided, and the Korean exchange student, Nala, also managed to secure a role through her hard work, settling everyone down. Under An Ran's leadership, everyone immersed themselves in the exciting rehearsal... Deeply in love with Chinese Peking opera, Nala was busy rehearsing the major play while also attending Peking opera school. In a rush, as if she were "running like Lola," she prepared to participate in the new talent contest for Peking opera but suddenly realized she was being followed. Luckily, Lin Haiping rescued her just in time, narrowly escaping danger. Unexpectedly, several boys started teasing Lin Haiping because of this. Lin Haiping, who was already in a relationship with classmate Zhang Jiajia, hesitated to hold Nala when she fell during rehearsal to avoid any suspicion, resulting in Nala injuring her foot and needing hospital care... Nala's sister suddenly fled her wedding and came to China, where Nala discovered that her mysterious stalker was actually her "brother-in-law"! After some effort, the misunderstanding was finally resolved, and her sister and brother-in-law got back together. Stubborn Nala created a miracle by participating in the Peking opera competition with her injury and winning a special award! Ai Tong and Wang Yingzhi, who are good friends, experienced many conflicts in their roles in the major play; likewise, in real life, both found themselves liking the same classmate, Wu Si. With Ai Tong's birthday approaching, Wu Si, who had long harbored a crush on Ai Tong, and their mutual "bro" Wang Yingzhi planned a special birthday party. Wang Yingzhi was in emotional turmoil because of the awkwardness of the situation... Unexpectedly, that night Ai Tong encountered a problem and was brought back to school by her pursuing boss, Pei Yijun, resulting in her waiting all night. Wu Si witnessed their "intimate contact" and left in anger, while Wang Yingzhi picked up the necklace he prepared for Ai Tong after Wu Si left... Coming from a financially strained family, Lin Haiping often struggled with money. Feeling sorry for their child, his parents secretly sold their house and livestock and opened a small restaurant near the film university in Beijing. The restaurant did reasonably well, and classmates enjoyed gathering there for its good value. However, Wu Si was afraid that everyone would look down on him and tried various ways to hide this... But one day, the classmates discovered it! After some internal conflict and the education of his mother and teachers, Wu Si finally realized his vanity and began to face his parents openly by running a little shop at the school gate. But just then, the small restaurant encountered unexpected disaster... An Ran's girlfriend, Lin Lan, returned from France and accidentally witnessed a misunderstanding between An Ran and Ai Tong. Suddenly, rumors of a scandal between the teacher and a female student spread throughout the department, causing rehearsals for the major play to come to a standstill and the class to descend into chaos. As the major play faced a pause, Lin Haiping and Wu Si, in need of money, took jobs at a Western restaurant. Little did they know that Lin Haiping would unexpectedly find his girlfriend, Zhang Jiajia, getting close to genius Xu Lang from the directing department! Zhang Jiajia seriously told Lin Haiping that she was in a serious relationship with Xu Lang. Since they were seen together, she decided to break up with Lin Haiping, leaving him stunned. At Xu Lang’s father's 60th birthday banquet, he brought Zhang Jiajia home to celebrate, only to have it exposed that she had once “accompanied her boss to sing karaoke”! Flustered, Zhang Jiajia left the banquet, causing a sour end to the party. Days later, rumors spread around the school that Zhang Jiajia had dated a wealthy man to get a role in a play. Furious and embarrassed, Xu Lang barged into the girls' dormitory looking for Zhang Jiajia and, in his anger, broke down the door! Xu Lang was forced to drop out and leave the country, while Zhang Jiajia also left the school for an opportunity to act in Hong Kong. A series of incidents in the class made An Ran seem quite isolated from the department. The department decided to remove An Ran from his position. The major play was also to be postponed. Upon hearing this rumor, the students thought of all sorts of ways to protect An Ran, even staging a "strike," but they did not expect that their actions made the situation worse... Just as An Ran was about to leave the school with his girlfriend for France, the students’ sincerity finally moved the enlightened principal, who personally came to support An Ran, and he chose to stay... After seeing off his girlfriend, An Ran gathered his spirits and re-engaged in rehearsing the major play, which successfully completed its initial rehearsal. Everyone worked together to prepare for the school’s reporting performance. Just before the performance, Nala became so nervous that she accidentally took the wrong calming medication and confusedly grabbed 75% alcohol, which she spilled on stage. In an instant, everyone realized what had happened, but it was too late—Lin Haiping's eyes were burned by the alcohol. Nala was frantic, having always been by Lin Haiping's side. Lin Haiping was very touched and told Nala before he unwrapped the bandage that even though he couldn't see for such a long time, he felt that this was the happiest time of his college life. The performance date was set, and everyone was nervously preparing. Just a month before the official performance, Wang Yingzhi’s grandmother suddenly fell ill, and without further ado, Wang Yingzhi insisted on taking Wu Si home with her. Xiao Gang, seeking help for a female dropout, also joined them on the journey. On the way home, Xiao Gang unexpectedly got "kidnapped"... When Wang Yingzhi and Wu Si walked through the door, Wu Si was mistakenly called to his grandmother's sickbed as the "grandson-in-law"... On Xiao Gang's side, after a series of searches, he accidentally found the little girl and finally thought of a "charity performance" to help the local children. Meanwhile, to find the "missing" Xiao Gang, An Ran, Nala, Lin Haiping, Ai Tong, and others happened to join this meaningful "fundraising performance." Back in Beijing, the date of the major play’s performance was drawing near, and everyone was in a hurry to rehearse. However, due to a misunderstanding about Wu Si and Wang Yingzhi's relationship, Ai Tong could not get into her emotions. At that moment, Ai Tong's "deceased" mother suddenly appeared! Moreover, her identity was a famous international Chinese star! Ai Tong finally understood why her father had always been reluctant to let her enter this industry... Her parents had been estranged for nearly 20 years in search of their daughter, but the knot in their hearts was finally untied. With her mother’s personal guidance, Ai Tong adjusted her state and returned to the stage, leading to an exceptionally successful performance of the major play. Through the performance, Wu Si finally gained confidence and participated in a prestigious foreign organization’s new film competition, winning a major award! Wu Si sold the luxury car prize through An Ran and established a scholarship for impoverished students at the school. Although Nala’s feelings for him were clear, Lin Haiping didn’t dare confess to her as his career wasn’t progressing. One day, Nala told Lin Haiping that her parents wanted her to return to South Korea after graduation. What could he say? Lin Haiping fell into a painful dilemma. Wu Si timely discovered Lin Haiping’s inner turmoil and, along with Ai Tong, set up a situation that finally extracted Lin Haiping’s true feelings... After a long silence, An Ran's girlfriend finally called from France to tell An Ran that she had given up her career in France to return and teach, wanting to be with An Ran. He was very touched and informed her that his students would soon graduate. Looking at the photo taken when they entered school four years ago, everyone was filled with mixed feelings and complex expressions of smiles. On the day of the graduation ceremony, as the principal presented the diplomas to everyone, An Ran's phone rang. It was Zhang Jiajia calling from Hong Kong, saying she wanted to hear the cheers of her classmates during graduation. Slowly raising his phone, amidst the laughter and cheers, blurry faces filled with tears flashed before the camera...
